Clinic Remaining Open during Ontario Shutdown
Hello everyone,We wanted to send out an update regarding our clinic’s in-person services during the current Ontario provincewide shut-down. Currently, we are permitted to remain open under the “Health Care and Social Services” section on the government of Ontario website (which provides all guidelines and regulations regarding the shutdown – see link below). We are also permitted to remain open for in-person services by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. We continue the following Covid-19 safety protocols: keeping to maximum capacity of 4 patients in the waiting area; disinfecting offices between each person; disinfecting waiting area regularly between appointment times; mandatory masks that cover the nose, mouth and chin worn by each person (unless given special medical exemption by their healthcare provider); and maintain risk-assessment for each employee and client with continued hand sanitizing and hand washing. We will maintain physical distancing unless clients request physical measurements (i.e. body composition or tape measure), or Dr. Bishop performs lap band adjustments, blood pressure, or medical examinations. We are excited to be back with you on January 4th, either in-person or virtually, as we head into this New Year! We have many clients who prefer the convenience of virtual or telephone appointments. We urge anyone with any cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and please switch their appointment to virtual. We also encourage you to switch to a virtual appointment if you feel nervous about exposure due to underlying health issues that might make you more vulnerable to Covid-19, or if you are immune-compromised.We remain closed this week but will be responding to phone calls and e-mails on January 4th when we re-open. All booked appointments will continue as planned, but if you wish to switch an in-person appointment to virtual, simply e-mail us at: hello@drbishop.ca!We are with you all in spirit through these challenging times, and hope everyone has enjoyed some time with loved ones through this holiday season. Continue showing yourself love and compassion through times of stress. Practice self-care, physical movement, healthy eating, and mindfulness on a daily basis, in whatever capacity.Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. We are so excited to be a part of your health journey as we embark on 2021!Yours in health,Dr. Bishop, Maureen, Kate, Julie and TiiaGovernment of Ontario Covid-19 Provincewide shutdown web link: https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-provincewide-shutdown
