Dr. Bishop away Feb. 17 - Mar. 1

Dr. Bishop will be away until March 1st at an intensive Lifeguard/Lifesaving Skills training camp in Florida! He will be training up to 6 hours every day with the Canadian Military Lifesaving Team to improve his skills for competition. In October 2012, Dr. Bishop will be heading to Australia to compete in the Masters Lifesaving World Championships!

While he's in Florida, he will be training in the following areas:

- Surf Ski (a very tippy kayak that competitors race with through ocean waves)

- Board (paddling on a surf board through the waves - competitors can choose to lie on their stomach or crouch on their knees)

- Ocean Swim

- Beach Run

- Pool Skills (i.e. mannequin rescue, rope rescue, swim rescue, etc)
