3lb bone in pork shoulder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp ground white pepper
¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Pre-heat the oven to 300F (150C).
Combine all dry ingredients together.
Pat the pork shoulder dry with a paper towel and rub with the seasoning blend, evenly coating the pork.
Place the pork into a large roasting pan and pop in the oven uncovered for 5 hours (you could also cook the pork in a slow cooker if desired, 8 – 10 hours on low heat).
Let the pork rest for 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven, then pull it apart (two forks work well!).
Count each ounce of pork as 1 protein.
